Design Process

I worked on The Lido House Hotel project as an intern at EDG. I was involved in development of the various guestrooms and public spaces of this hotel project from design development during my first coop experience all the way through construction administration my second coop experience. I knew what every single finish, fabric, and most furniture pieces are the whole hotel.

Role included: 

  • Assembling budgets and FFE and finish schedules in Spexx/Excel

  • Writing, selecting, and drawing custom furniture

  • Managae incoming CFA's

  • Pick up drawing and specification redlines 

  • Correspond wit vendors and purchasing agents 

  • Develop custom carpet designs and material palettes 

  • Organize material binders 

  • Study spaces and build models in Sketchup

  • Render floorplans and elevations in AutoCAD and Photoshop 

  • Develop Indesign and client presentations in the office 

  • Reselect finishes and update drawings after VE phase

Guestroom Design

During my main focus was working on the typical guestroom model rooms in schematic and design development with my co-workers. I worked on material palettes, finish schedules, custom furniture specifications, budget, and renderings for the client presentation.  continued to work on this project from construction documents through construction administration, VE, and through to the final production of the model rooms and suites.
